Welcome! I live very close to the Forest of Dean and have recently joined Worcester Norton Shooting Club (http://www.wnsc.co.uk) as a probationary member.
It's a great club with good facilities - they have an active practical section with a dedicated shotgun pit and there are black powder shooters (I've shot 2 muzzle loaders so far - great fun!).
The only downside is that the club is extremely popular and there is a waiting list to join, but I can definitely recommend it.
