hi,,forgive me for asking what may be a silly question,but what is the law regarding muzzle breaks,are they regarded the same as mods,or is there no law

The type A that I have on my Buckmark carbine seems to do a good job of raising the perceived noise for the firer.

As such, the brakes don't make the gun-shot louder per se, they just change the direction of the vented gasses from the muzzle.

The bloke that makes them has done extensive testing.
They make the gun more accurate, as they change the harmonics of the barrel

Certainly seemed to be the case with my Buckmark
