I havent been able to get any other info.
He wants £250 for it.

What should I be looking for when checking it over?

This would be my first shotgun, so I havent a clue apart from general cosmetic condition.

Thanks

You have answered your own question. For your first gun you should certainly be using a dealer or agreeing a sale based on a dealer's inspection, or at the very least, taking an experienced friend with you.

Thanks peeps. sign92

I'll will be popping into my local boomstick shop Saturday morning to look at a few.
Unfortunately they don't have any Hatsans, but they do have a nice shiny new SXP Pump Action..

But it is around £50-75 more than shops further afield. But at that saving its almost worth travelling to get it cheaper. But of-course paying more for the convenience of a local shop will need to be taken into account.

At that sort of difference I'd certainly haggle over the price or ask if they will throw in a few boxes of cartridges, cleaning kit, bag etc. it's always worth a try. Worst case you walk away and take your money elsewhere saving some of it for the next one you buy :good:

As an example of poor customer service, my friend is changing laptops, he'd almost bought a 10" tablet from the Samsung shop in the Metro Centre (Car Phone Warehouse) but luckily I have him well trained and he came to see me first :good: Having gone through what he wanted it for we decided a tablet wasn't the best choice and decided on a 13.3" Samsung ATIV Book 9 instead.

He took the print out from Ebuyer I gave him back to the Samsung shop and asked if they could price match or get anywhere close (£360) as he'd like it today, not a chance, muppet salesman got angry and tried to tell him it must be a knock off at that price and that you couldn't even get the 128Gb SSD hard drive for under £400! (they're under £50 in the real world!). Quick phone call to me and it'll be here before 12 tomorrow.
