Lets leave the funny stuff for HBSA comps and the Trafalgar meeting, this should then leave a level playing field for any future historic CSR meeting.
SB, am I right in saying this was your idea to get such a competition kicked off, very well done to all involved for what looks to have been an excellent event.

Thank you!

Sadly my new knee and a shoulder which requires surgery kept me away..................this time!

Oh well, never mind, I didn't realise it was a CSR shoot.

But, so what if someone shoots something other than a Lee Enfield it's their choice. If they can't keep up with the CoF again it's their choice and as long as they're shooting the competition - who cares?

Then again I don't shoot an Lee Enfield - I shoot the so called 'funny stuff.'

I would welcome Foreign SR to be used and in fact the CoF was written to allow 5 round magazine rifle users to recharge between exposures 5 & 6 (20 seconds given). However you cannot sustain a match and give awards in each clad if out of the 4 available classes 2 of them have only one enterant each. Hopefully this will be addressed next time.

It wasn't a CSR shoot, it was Historic Service Rifle. Completely separate thing altogether.

So a P14 would not have been disadvantaged :good:

It's what I used.
As someone who was involved from the beginning it was initially intended that only 5 rounds would be loaded at a time with mandatory reloads. Somehow after the discussions and the practice match (that I was heavily involved with alongside members of the HBSA) that was carried out in March the match conditions were changed.
Hopefully in next years match these things can be resolved.

Well if you are involved in organising another match sort out the classes to better represent the entries you had this time and bin SR(b) and F SR (b).

The CoF was fine and needs no change.

You also need to get the results posted by the NRA amended as they have you down as shooting a No.4.

At the original discussions there was no intention of any Sr (b) only Sr (a). Unfortunately someone within the NRA insisted on the changes.
I have already asked for my class to be corrected.

And did they enter and shoot?
