There some that have permanent muzzle brake to make the barrel 12" and are sold with a fixed stock.

Only if the gun still complies with the 12/24 length rule with the stock in the folded/collapsed position. The Walter/Umarex MP5A4 would not, which is kinda the whole point of this thread lol

Unfortunately neither the GSG or airsoft stocks fit the Walter/Umarex gun a proper H&K one might but they're about £150 which would be pretty expensive if it turned out it didn't fit either :bad:

IIRC the G&G UMP style stock i tried on my mates Umarex MP5 was still too small. It may be possible to bore it out though, i don't recall how much difference in size there was

I've got one of these, although "permanent" isn't quite right - the barrel is sleeved, the muzzle brake screws onto the barrel itself and tensions it in the sleeve - but that there muzzle brake sure does come off easily enough. My first Umarex MP5 had a defect in this area, in that the brake (which works against the fore sight block) kept pulling the barrel downwards in the sleeve as the foresight block itself was out of alignment.

Temporarily I shimmed the brake to prove the issue before I returned it for a replacement firearm.

Yeah, Blackstuff I wouldn't even attempt to go down the airsoft route...they are far too flimsy.

I was hoping to find someone with a Umarex HK A5 or SD6 that decided to get a solid stock, the HK one is only about £40 and are available from quite a few online suppliers. I haven't seen the HK collapsible one for sale anywhere so was hoping to pick one up from someone that had already upgraded. I'd pay up to £50 if I could find one, anymore than that and I'd probably not even bother.
