I have a 7.62X54R on my license without being a member of a club that uses outdoor ranges.

I use hand loaded ammunition on a 25 yrd range, I'm also able to use it on full bore ranges as well should I choose to do so.

No we shoot full bore rifles whose ammunition is handloaded to our range limits, Durham said that this wasn't allowed and therefore wasn't good reason to posses.

This decision had no basis in fact or legislation and after a 7 month fishing expedition on their part they were forced to back down and allow our Durham members to keep their full bore rifles.

It was only Durham members that were affected, members in other authorities continued as normal.
thank you for the clarification, that does make sense now thankssign

just messaged someone if i can do that at my range fingerscrossed

Sorted my situation out by joining the "Old Sergeants Mess" at Bisley on Saturday. Nice club house, nice people and somewhere to hold my new rifle (when I decide on one) until the appropriate variation comes thru.
Will start my probation in Jan hopefully.

Next question will be F-class or F/TR for which I'll start a new thread later on.

Whatever you feel like doing, F Open or F/TR a great place to start would be by going on the F class training weekend in February at Bisley, loads of great advice on F Class and long range shooting and reloading goodjob

Many GB team members started off with this (including me razz ) and it's a great place to start (or improve on where you are)

Have a look on the GBFclass website for details but be quick as places go fast bangbang

Variation form on its way to the FEO. Asked for two 7.62/.308 slots and 400 rounds.
Feel naked without my FAC by my .22 rifle.
Now filling in the F-Open training weekend form
