Clearly misunderstood nature of my post - name change only was to indicate same management, same business ethics same customer service, just a different name. Midway UK have not gone out of business to be taken over by Brownells but just a rebranding exercise. Whilst some name changes have inevitably created better businesses - who can forget the highly succesfull "Brad's Drink" before it became "Pepsi-Cola" or "Jerry's Guide to the World Wide Web" before it became Yahoo..... it is highly likely this change will fool some people for a while, but I suspect not for long.

Well, I guess you're an unhappy bunny then.
Part 2: Brownells European websites
We’ve designed websites in several European markets to make doing business with us internationally a much easier process. Not only is there a Brownells website dedicated to these countries, with the local language and currency, but there is also a Brownells representative locally that help you with any need.

Customers in these countries should direct all orders through the local website or representative.

http://www.brownells.no (Norway)
http://www.brownells.es (Spain)
http://www.brownells.it (Italy)
http://www.brownells.co.uk (UK)
http://www.brownells.fr (France)
http://www.brownells.ch (Swiss)
http://www.brownells.fi (Finland)
http://www.brownells-sverige.se (Sweden)
http://www.brownells-deutschland.de (Germany)

Availability:
Please note that some items on our website and catalog may not be available to be purchased or shipped outside of the United States
I still have my Brownells.com account (fat lot of good that is now) and I guess my discount is history with the UK site. My MidwayUK account details have been transferred or to the Brownells UK site, which is something I guess... 8-)
Hmm. I'm not.

The UK-specific site won't have even half the US inventory - and the prices will be outrageous here.

Buh-bye Brownells - it was good while it lasted... :bad: :bad: :bad:

Stuff I could previously order from the U.S., I now can't get from the "UK" site. My .com order has been referred to Sandi at International sales.....

My 25 year association with Brownells has just ceased.

Just checked their price for matchking 155 Palma (2156)
£51.50 per 100, Henry Krank £28.40 , that's just taking the p**s, they won't be getting any of my hard earned cash.I'm Not sure how solid a business plan that relies on your customers only coming to you and paying hugely inflated price, when they can't get items anywhere else is, time will tell!!

You're asking them to airfreight lead? What do you expect?
They aren't taking the p***; if you ask a stupid question etc.
They may be expensive, but your example is about the most extreme case you could contrive, and if you base your patronage on that...hmm

..

All the US manufactured bullets are shipped to the UK and Europe at some point. Other sellers in the UK and Europe can still sell them at a much lower price than MidwayUK/BrownellsUK are charging for them. This (I assume) is because they aren't buying them from whoever Nosler/Hornady/Sierra use for their European distributors/suppliers and are ordering directly from the US in single batches/orders the same way a normal customer would do then adding their mark up.
