...saw about 20 minutes of Episode 2
Turned the TV over just as a group were doing something Arabic inspired to a horse. (must have been the goats night off)
May have to go back & watch Episode 1 & the rest of Episode 2...as they seem to spent time getting the details right on the soldiers kit

Starts getting good with more soldier scenes and stuff in episode 5, the interpersonal does go on a bit not that I watch for all that people guff anyway.

Saddler, pretty sure it was a cow and apparently it was the done thing back then
Viewers did not agree with the sex scene on the beach, that was apparently not done back then.
Slow paced, yes, it gives the viewer a chance to relate, same goes for "Vera" which is filmed up north, it is one of my favourite series.

My Danish Snider (thank you Dromia) has a 1861 date stamp on it, I am pretty sure the rifle came about because of the lessons learnt during the first Schleswig War.
1864 is to do with the second Schleswig War.
