Nah, I'm really not sure if that can be done. Pre-1988 walking into a gunshop with someone's ticket and picking up repaired guns or ammo was generally not an issue. The Ammendment Acts and "face to face" requirements prevented this as well as mail order...
My mates mum walked into Bagnall & Kirkwoods in the early 80s with my mates FAC and bought him a S&W model 28 in .357mag, with a couple of boxes of ammo, for his birthday, the. Took it home on the bus, wrapped them and gave them to him the following day for his birthday!!!
Life really was far less complicated 30 years ago...
