It seems the majority of your posts concern new firearms built to get around UK restrictions. You are starting to sound obsessed about it.

Your recent thread was on a short barrelled shotgun. Tell me, which comp in UK would a short barrel be better ?

And why would an underler be an improvement on a semi or pump apart from allowing a short barrel ?

As to the US guy being too busy to reply - i suppose that is one reason he might have not replied............

Hmm, good question. Sorry If I came off like that. Not sure which comp would be better. To be fair, I'd prefer the pump or semi every time (not a detachable mag one though, too much trouble from what I hear).

And you're right on that, but to be fair on the forum that he's a member of that I talk to him on, he's talked about it to others besides me. Like I said, this thing we call work gets in the way.

Once again sorry if I sounded like I was obsessed with getting round uk laws. To be fair I'm just interested in getting more stuff in. Wouldn't mind giving the 22 wmr kel tec a try (only if it was uk legal, I won't go around the oal length law). I just seem to have gotten into things at a good time. Anyway thanks for the criticism, much appreciated.

In theory an underlever could be as fast to operate as a pump.

Having a shorter barrel means faster handling and less cumbersomer to get around obstacles (and lighter for slight-framed/lady shooters). Anything longer than 16-18" (depending on cartridge load) on a shotgun barrel is a waste of space, it adds nothing the the ballistics of the shot/slug. (Longer barrels can aid with swing for clay shooting but this gun is hardly designed for that).

Therefore a lever gun, if as fast to operate as a pump, but with a shortened barrel would offer a significant advantage for disciplines like practical shotgun.

I like the look of that. :good:

I think fugly is in the eye of the beholder, and most semi's - be they RF, CF or shottie - look pretty much the same to me. I like the underlever action. Whether it will be reliable or not remains to be seen, but I can see that getting more than a few passing glances from the PSG people.

£400! I'd have one. Where's Chuck? ;)
Seems it's already selling well in Australia, and upsetting the Antis :D

Its a new Lever action shottie. Fun historical fact, although the first repeating shottie was a lever action J M Browning actually told Winchester a pump would be better. However they wanted lever action for brand recognition so he designed it. Later on the 1892 pump action came. An attempt at a new lever action 12 bore came with the Kessler Levermatic (their designs and patents were sold to marlin, thus the marlin levermatics of the 60's).

I have a spare slot, if they were cheap enough I'd like to try one in Standard Manual class. As much as I enjoy a good pump, I'd be just as happy flicking it forward just as fast as I could.
