The 7N22 round adopted in 1999 was the serious armour-piercing round. The ban on the 7N6 by the ATF was a farce as they classified it as "armour-piercing" despite the steel core being mild steel , like a standard 54r or 7.62x39 core.......it is actually the 7N6(M) round that has an armour-piercing hardened steel penetrator but they tarred all 7N6 with the same brush.

Give a man a gun and he can rob a bank.....give a man a bank and he can rob the world!.

More than a vested interest in 7.62x54r!

That and them saying "oh a pistol exists that can use 5.45x39" despite there being one around for years and them quoting a US pistol version of a polish ak that only existed as a prototype wtf . Its too farcical to post the links now, they find themselves I find. We all know it happened along with a ban on KC (Kalashnikov concern) products being imported (no sanctions on Molot, they arent a part of KC in the way you'd think apparently?). But the main affect has been AK74 platform rifles including some AR variants (Smith and wesson made an M&P15 upper and full variant that used 5.45x39) have had interest in them killed. Everyone with that gun owning interest has gone back to 5.56 and 7.62x39.
