In fairness I suspect there's a small creature of some description living in my supernova's trigger group. I won't try and evict it though, as I suspect it's playing a crucial part of the trigger group's operation.

It's the only way I can explain the trigger pull being as bad as it is.

The 590a1 has the metal trigger guard. Sorry, should have been more clear.

I had a very quick look down into the trigger group when it was field stripped and at least some of the problem seemed to be that the contact surfaces have a very long travel before the trigger breaks.

I would get in and have a fettle (polish at first) but knowing my luck the damn thing would catch fire or something.

Dealer is going to sort the issue but wants me to send the action, mag tube, forend, action bars, shell lifter and all of the other internal bits.

He reckons that this can be posted.

Is this so and what the Dickens do I tell Mrs Miggins at the Post Office is inside the shotgun shaped parcel?

Not sure what the P&P would be for this, unless the dealer is footing the bill

Brand new trigger groups are only a touch over £30 in the US

The description 'Metal' seems to go down well with our local PO, this was agreed after an initial and quite lengthy discussion about exactly what was in the packages

....it would be ok as long as the 40" minimum length rule was observed: otherwise it's S.5
