Sean,
Welcome indeed. You are not the first to find their cabinet a limiting factor -- within 12 months of getting my FAC, I installed two more.
Satisfy my curiosity -- what is a "Gsg5 SD .22"?

Hi DavidRees,The GSG 5 is an MP5 lookalike,in .22lr, the SD is schalldampfer which is german for silencer/silenced, it is not a real moderator, the barrel is the full length of the mod. Heckler& Koch sued GSG and ATI (American Tactical Imports) the original importers for copyright infringement. The result of this was that GSG changed the foresight, pistolgrip and cocking handle, and renamed it the GSG 522,if you wanted to you could buy a kit to revert it back to the original GSG5.

Fascinating. Unfortunately, I've never seen one -- almost all .22s at my club are Ruger 10/22s. How does it shoot? Is it optical sights only? Magazine capacity?

Hi,DavidRees,I've only used it on a 25 mtr range, over that distance its 10 in a thumbnail,it came with a rotating rear turret, which can be removed and an optical sight fitted, i put a 50 quid walther red dot on mine, and mag capacity is 10 and 22 rounds also a 110 drum is available.I tried to upload a photo of mine, but I'm not the most computer literate of people,I will work it out one day.

I know what you mean about cabinets - especially the ones that are supposed to hold "x" number of scoped rifles, but never do.
Recently bought my first cabinet and yes it is for 6 scoped rifles and I am finding it difficult to get my scoped air rifle in it with no other guns. Admittedly it is a rather large FTP900 with a Falcon T35 scope so it's lucky there is no legal requirement to put such things in cabinets.

I'd be interested in seeing a photo, when you find a way to do it. Perhaps someone more familiar with posting photos on this site could chip in to tell us how to do it?
Do you use the GSG5 for any particular type of competition? Intrigued as to whether you have used it for Gallery Rifle comps, and if so, how you got on.
