Sorry - should have spotted it was in "rimfire" section.

Dont worry, I have already been thoroughly admonished by a certain gunplumber who spotted the error.............

Sorry lads should have said it is a .22lr, the gun is rifle length and ive had it from new, i can remember how long ive had it, but i was the first to have one when they first came into the country, its had 1000's of rounds through it, but ive only had this trouble the last twice ive use it, and i use it every week.

Got to be worth the tenner ish for a new spring. Those springs aren't overly strong, if it's down 1000's of rounds then maybe it needs a refresh. (Saying that mine is up to about 3k now and it still looks new)

15,000+ through a Cmmg here, two firing pins down but no springs yet...

You can get reconditioning kits if it's a Cmmg bolt. http://emrr.org.uk/survival-spring-kit-22arc/

It is a cmmg just had a look at East Midlands but there out of stock, looks like ill have to wait for them to get them back in stock, thanks for all the help though.

You could ask Lantac, Suffolk rifle or if your desperate, I've got one I keep as a spare. Think I got mine from brownells!
