Hi,
I am picking my M&P on Saturday and want to fit a red dot scope on it.

Any recommendations?

You won't go far wrong with a Vortex SPARC II.... but I would say that I use and sell them :-)

Vortex do a true 1-4x that'll give you a red dot when set to one and a useful scope when set on 4.

I used to switch between a spitfire and a 6x scope, now I just keep the 1-4 on it which is essentially a red dot with a nice illuminated reticle. Price depends on which of the three quality levels you want.

Only thing you'll miss out on is the eye relief and rapid pickup of the red dot but if your cheek weld is predictable you'll be ok.

Worth trying some out!

I run 8 of the Strikefire 2 sights on our club guns.
My students had the opportunity to try my personal SPARC 2 on Monday.

They all loved the smaller dot.
I traded up from Strikefire to the SPARC 2.
Very worthwhile in my opinion.

Goes well with a 3x magnifier too.
