I hope those pellets are not in contact with synovial fluid, or you can get lead being available in the blood stream. It takes a long time but there are cases of plumbism in the literature.I have two .177 airgun pellets embedded in my left foot, and I remember thinking at the time 'Feck, that hurts' or words to that effect.

"Plumbism" - the ailment suffered by those in receipt of bills for boiler repairs.
