Wasn't it that one gun was a straight pull SA80 that was listed as stolen from the MOD armory or something? Please fill in what you know Brad.

If a straight pull rifle would it not be called a L98 cadet rifle and not a SA80.

Thats the one. Some are on the market but they are as rare as hen's teeth sadly.[/quote]

I think there are one or two members here have them in their cabinets.

I couldn't think of a worse rifle to have as a straight-pull, the position of the cocking handle must make it terrible to operate

I think some have them for the rarity value and the fact it's as close as we'll get to a SA-80 .....and pay through the nose for the privilege.

Pretty much and collectors can be a funny bunch too, crap operating position or not, also if you do enjoy your L85, more power to to you, enjoy what you like.
