The only thing different on the Bremmer when compared to a standard AR is the bolt and the chamber end of the barrel (oh, and the magazine insert). Everything else is standard AR so can be interchanged.
Replace the bolt (bolt and carrier) and barrel and you'll have a full-bore straight pull. Won't even have to buy new mags.

A mate did it for me, he chopped an RG mag and bonded it onto a V22 10 round mag.
Cheers - I may give that a go. The SGC mags perform faultlessly but just look wrong.

Well, after salivating over both my mates Bremmers for a while now, i saw one in Fultons @ Bisley at the weekend and decided to give it a new home! Not the cheapest one around, but managed to get a few quid off and an extra mag with 22lr insert + some minimag chucking in also. And it came with a little scope plus carry handle mount. Plus its the carbine version, which i think you don't see that often, so was fairly pleased....
However, when leaving and packing up the car, the chap behind the counter legged it over to me and said 'don't forgot the box - there is a box with it, sorry forgot to tell you'! So, he then appeared with the original box marked 'SAR-15 .22 Parker Hale'. And on opening the box, inside was another 4 mags and the original instructions booklet! So, now I'm thinking it wasn't a bad deal at all. Plus on inspection, the poor little black rifle has hardly been shot! what a crime!! (i'll soon sort that out ... bangbang )

The only thing i had to sort out on it was a missing circlip on the bolt carrier spring guide. And some of the mags are a bit stiff on loading and not feeding very well - so i'll have to strip the 22 inserts when i get a mo.
I have to say I'm surprised at how accurate they are! And M16 authentic (if you know what i mean).
The only question i have, is how oiled do you guys keep the actions? I know that its common to run them 'wet', but thats for a .223. Does the same apply for the 22lr? I didn't have that much lubricant inside after i cleaned it, 'cos i usually find that my firearms like to be run 'dry' or minimal lube to the salient points. Any advice would be very welcome on lube helpsign

First of all can we have some pics of your Bremmer carbine please? Secondly I find if I run copper wash ammo (Fiocchi, CCI Mini-mag or AR tactical) and use FrogLube on the bolt and any other contact area, it runs forever and doesn't really need cleaning.

I second halodin's lubrication methods. Minimal is best for rim fire blow backs.
