Does the barrel have to be re-proofed?

Whether or not it NEEDS to be is a hotly debated question, mine was as part of the service from Master Class Customs.

If in the shortening you lose the proof marks then yes you really should have it reproofed.

Somebody will be along shortly to tell me if I'm wrong or not.

Barrels used to only be proofed at the chamber end up until fairly recently. The proof houses then started putting the proof stamps on the muzzle end so that they could charge an extra proof charge for folks that had threading work done for suppressors or barrel shortening.
Apparently it is not illegal to use a gun out of proof but it is illegal to sell one out of proof. A fine of £5000 I believe. That's how I understand the law to be at present.
To be honest most machinists that have either shortened or threaded a barrel wont do the work unless they get them re-proofed before you get them back. They charge about £65 on top of the work I believe.

Does that stock collapse? If so, what is your overall length with it collapsed and extended?

Not having a dig - i'm sure it is at LEAST 60cm - but i'm curious to know.

As the stock is so easy to remove, let alone collapse, its 'safer' to take the measurement with it completely removed, i.e. from the end of the buffer tube to the muzzle. I did measure it when I first got it and it was over 600mm but I can't remember exactly what it was. I have finally finished tarting it up now though*;

I love the gun and it allows me to go pretty fast in mini-rifle comps. I'd started to warm up properly by the stage @2:40 just excuse the crap pistol shooting!

It is! I'm going to use a moderator at the next match though as sometimes its difficult to hear whether you've hit the smaller plates or not in the heat of the moment

The problem with using a mod is that the timer can struggle to pick up your shots, depends on how sensitive your timer is though.
