Who said there was?
Other countries can still stipulate minimum lengths for longarms....(rifles/shotguns)

I take it you've not looked at gun laws in Eire?. They've banned handguns. Still in the EU last time I looked.

.22 RF pistols are still ok in Eire - maximum 5 round capacity.

I'd look for a .22RF I fancied and buy it.....along with the pinned magazine. Appears S&W Mod 41s are quite popular over there.
