Don't even think of using Trailboss as it is chronically over priced for what it is, a fluffy fast pistol powder, if you want to waste money then just send me signed blank cheques. The claim that it stops a double charge due to over spill may be true in small volume pistol cases but not so in these larger rifle cases which will easily accept a double charge without overflowing.

If you need to rely on fluffy powders as the safeguard against double charging then you really shouldn't be handloading.
Thanks, dromia. I just picked up a tub of N310 this afternoon - It will Las me a long long time! I was advised to start with 4gr for the 90gr Saeco in the 6x45 (6mm-223)

What calibre are you referring to for the NOE 105gr?

Eh?

0.243"/6mm.

Why would I refer to a calibre on this thread other than what you are asking about?

As it says on the tin NOE 246-105-FN

BTW if you want to be subsonic then I would back off from 4 gns with the lighter bullet.

Thanks, there are a few different 6mm cartridges and I was just making sure. Better to ask (and risk ridicule) before blindly following info off internet.

Do you shoot any jacketed bullets in your 6x45? As mine has an 8 twist barrel I'm going to try some 105gr A-max. I'll be using Ramshot Xterminator powder.

So you wanted to know what cartridge I was referring to rather than the calibre.

I was referring to the cartridge you seem to have asked about 6x45, an attempt to make the .223 Remington interesting.

I rarely shoot jacketed in any calibre/cartridge and then only under protest.

I'm flying up to Speyside tomorrow ...

Tasting the local beverage (again) and throwing sharp lumps of metal into the river for the rest of the week
