Just finished 'The Lathe of Heaven' by Ursula K. Le Guin. It's a sci-fi book written in the 70's (I think?), but her description of the middle east wars is eerily accurate!

Yes, it's very informative and covers a wide subject very well.

Gun Digest 2017 - been dipping in and out of this tome for the last few months. Some very good articles, much more colour than previous issues and less catalogue so it gets a big thumbs up from me.
Also, Troop Leader - A Tank Commanders Story by Bill Bellamy: he was a twenty year old in command of a troop of three Cromwells from D-Day onwards. Very easy read, good description of life as it was for those on the front line.

I am just finishing off the 7th book in the 'Death in the Fens' series by Joy Ellis, they are crime thrillers set reasonably locally to us and easy reading when I retire to bed. I also have 'A Collector’s Guide to the Savage 99 Rifle and its Predecessors, the Model 1895 and 1899' by David Royal set to arrive very shortly which I am looking forward to dipping into.
