Was a good day - I'm sure I was chatting to you for a bit but quite rudely failed to introduce myself!
One of the things I took away was that I couldn't believe the amount of stoppages, FTF and general fumbling with magazine changes. Okay if it's a club gun, but a lot of folks with their £800+ setups were having real issues. Surprising.
Great fun though :) Another one in a month!
I think I was in with a shout of the stage win on the third as well, must check...

Did it make me want to rush out and buy a .22 semi auto. May be we will see. Will I go again probably it would be rude not to.
Glad to read you enjoyed the day!

There was not to mutch running about the courses of fire were interesting I had problems with the sitting and phrone positions. Shooting through holes at falling plates.
But all in all it was a good day. Lots of tricked ruger .22 semi autos with red dots. Quite a few black plastic jobbies dont know the models as they are foreign to me.

Well done for going.. talk to the organisers about your issues.. Mrs Hrun was allowed to shoot our recent Captains Cup prone shoot from a bench as she cannot lie down.

The fact that I struggled to get down and shoot prone or sitting was not an issue they allowed me to shoot the stage standing obviously I incurred penalty points. But it was not a problem.

I love this about shooters, they are happy to be flexible soyou can enjoy it. It is the only sport where Mrs Hrun and myself can compete together :-)

The results of the comp are out I came 20th out of 20 competitors.
Im not surprised may be next time I can creep up into 19th.
First time I have ever shot a practical comp I should may be not have left it so late in my shooting career to have a go. There is another one next month. I might give it a go. May be.

I seem to remember you left before the last round; if so that would explain your position! I came 7th overall on my first go, but that's because I lost so much time using the club gun with its fiddly mag release/bolt hold open and odd scope. Next time I'm taking my little MP5 with a shield minisight on so I will hopefully have another crack at it!

Where (approximately) was this entertainment?
I quite a fancy a go, but it doesn't seem to be a Bisley ting.
