Re: Werewolves..............
Slightly off track, a friend is just returning from living in Germany having had issues with Wolves for the last few months, apparently the Wolves have the same rights as a human when it comes to shooting them and he was advised to get photographic evidence of any attacks, and ideally some bite marks to justify any defensive actions. Apparently a Wolf eating your hunting dog is not a good enough reason for shooting it.

Funny this topic should come up. I hadn't seen this thread and this is my first post under the Emergency Planning subforum.
I was just musing last night about how hard solid silver was and how you'd go about loading it, what kind of metal residue it would leave... blah blah. Then I fell asleep!
Where does the idea of a silver bullet come from in wolfen lore? Was it invented by Hammer Films? An old wives' tale?

Re: Werewolves..............
Not sure of the Lycanthropic application but historically silver has been used as a cure all and having used silver impregnated dressings myself to clear up a long standing open wound I would think it was a "cure" for Lycanthropy too. Even though the cure is death!JDR wrote:Funny this topic should come up. I hadn't seen this thread and this is my first post under the Emergency Planning subforum.

About £120 per Sterling Silver 55 gn boolit, if you cast your own. Hammer and B&Q stake is a lot cheaper.
