Soon to be a collectors item.kennyc wrote:pass on the AR clones and get a Sig522
Thank you Dellboy, I did forget Bradley arms, as I also forgot to mention Chippa, Umarex (manufactuers of the Colt M16 clone (not an Armalite Rifle 15), and also the H&K 416 Clone both in .22lr).Dellboy wrote:Ginger wrote:I believe NWCP does his own range of Polymer rifles based on the Armalite Rifle 15 design

So there are a couple of options in the price range you are thinking off the S&W or the NWCP ones (if they are out there yet). I have seen the S&W ones and they work well, the only thing I know about the NWCP ones is the information above. Only benefit I can see of the S&W over the NWCP is that the S&W is tried and tested but for the NWCP one it can take a .223 upper it says.
Metal (Spikes / Bremmer / CMMG / Lantac / Valkeryie) nice, premium, heavy can take other uppers
Polymer (S&W / NWCP), light, cop is good, and the NWCP takes Milspec parts, I don't think S&W allows buffer tube changes etc for stocks.
I have two of the above (not saying which), and I am happy with it, and I don't think I have mentioned any supplier here that doesn't get a thumbs up from someone on here (well nearly everyone).

Didnt mention Bradley arms and you nearly got away with it

I notice your home range is Diggle, I am sure that if you ask around people will own most of what has been mentioned so you might be able to have a touch and feel etc.Lancs_Oakley wrote:Thanks for all the info. Looks like a 15-22 is going to be the way forward for now. Thanks all.
I've shot at Diggle a couple of times and while the people there all seemed friendly enough i'm not sure they'd have appreciated people doing that!Ginger wrote:I notice your home range is Diggle, I am sure that if you ask around people will own most of what has been mentioned so you might be able to have a touch and feel etc .Lancs_Oakley wrote:Thanks for all the info.
