You need to watch these guys Krum, they'll get you started with a little gentle .22 stuff, just like a free sample from your local dealer, before you know it you're past the point of no return, three cabinets on the wall and the spare room taken over for all your reloading gear. :)

^^ This..
But I have yet to pay more the 400 quid for a rifle and 4 of my favourites cost less than 100..
But, I now have 12 and three cabinets as well as a shed full of reloading gear.. a slippery slope indeed :-)
Hahaha I can already see it happening. The guy on the next lane tonight had a huge revolver. That was bloody noisy but looks like fun. I've also never even considered black powder until the other day when it was being talked about. Loud, smokey and messythats the ticket. Haha 2 visits in and I already have 8 on my mental list.
Well I tried out a .357/38 underlever, that was great fun, even if I couldn't hit the inside of a barn. haha and I think I'm getting the hang of the .22 thanks to some nice tips on triggering and breathing.
It's just practice, practice, practice now. And hopefully get onto the next outdoor shoot and try the bigger stuff.
5 years ago i took a friend who was a shotgun shooter to a club , even though he had his doubts . He sort of liked it and announced that he would only probably buy one gun ........
5 years later he has 2 22 rimfires a 308 Howa a 223 Tikka a 38 Marlin a Enfield No 4 A Uberti muzzle loader 44 a ruger precision rifle and a slot for a 22 and a 38 long barrel revolver and another 308 .
so be warned its more addictive than crack .......
