just missed a 451 P-H last Sunday at an auction in Sweden - chose the wrong hour to nip out for a coffee & some food!!
Will have to e-mail Pete to get more info on what versions they are, etc. as his descriptions are a little lacking in detail

Hi Reasearch press I have 2 band PH enfield and was wondering if you are still able to find the barrel age from the proof markings. Mine has a G next to B with a 4 underneath all within a circle ?

I'm not Research Press but I can tell you it was proof stamped 1981 Birmingham.

Jim yours looks like a 1979, numbers and letters are within a circle?

Having revisited this thread for serial number info I though the following chart I found on t'internets would be useful.
Can anyone offer any advice as what to look for when looking over a Parker Hale muzzle loading rifle for prospective purchase, a buyers guide?

The Euro-Arms/Pedersoli "Parker Hale" Enfields have metric threads. If anybody wants a standard PH P53 in good condition, there is one for sale on our club website:
