Yep, what's known as a Smirnsky top mount.To be fair factory original PE and PEM snipers are extremely rare, the vast majority that you see are made from "ex-snipers".

Thanks for that a very interesting read. Am I correct in thinking It is a round receiver I should be looking for.

It depends on whether the mount you have is for a round or hex receiver, as both types are available.......
