Looks like fun!
Is the shotgun always unloaded for BWSS?
Also, I realise its almost certainly going to be slower, but are you allowed to 'fan' the revolvers?

Shotgun should always start unloaded, unless it's a wild bunch stage, where shotgun should be fully loaded and sidearm is a .22 1911.
Rifle should always start with magazine loaded with 10 shots, empty chamber, hammer down.
Pistols loaded with 5, hammer down on empty chamber
I'm not certain if fanning is banned, or as it is way to slow and likely to cause a miss no one does it.
You have choices with how you do pistol. Dualist, one handed, one gun at a time. Can use both from strong hand
Double dualist, one handed, one fired from each hand, one gun at a time.
Gunfighter, one handed, one gun in each hand at the same time, no rules on how to shoot them, most alternate guns.
Or just normal where you shoot 2 handed, one gun at a time. This is what I do, as we don't really make a distinction in the categories as only one person regularly shoots gunfighter. Most of us either shoot dualist or normal.

i think they have let it lapse, preferring to use FB for comms between members.
they used to do shoots elsewhere, but seem to have just reigned it in to the shoots in lincs for the last 2 years or so. we used to have shoots in leek, liverpoop and kidderminster. Official line is if clubs want to do it and become involved there is a process for setting them up, but clubs don't always seem to want to comply with the BWSS official rules and so run their own comps how they like.
I really wish we did shoots more around the country, but it's increasingly becoming Grimsby or nothing. there is however plenty of cheap B&Bs nearby, or you can camp out there for the full experience of the 2 days.

This does look like fun.
I need to find another couple of weekends in each month.

I was just thinking of selling my Uberti 1873..... I think I'll keep it.
In 1978 I was told by my grand dad that the secret to rifle accuracy is, a quality bullet, fired down a quality barrel..... How has that changed?
