Barrel adaptor for moderator for Umarex/HK MP5

I modified a standard 'flash hider' to fit a Wildcat moderator to the MP5. Works well and looks good.

Blackstuff, thanks, £50 isn't too bad, even if its gone up since then.. i'll try to find their facebook page and make some enquiries..

I have to admit though, in the last few days I've been looking at the Kriss Vector .22, and thinking one of those, with 12'' barrel and reflex moderator would look good..

Here you go. A fairly easy job.
The thread had to match existing threads, M18, and anything much smaller would have compromised the integrity of the 'flash hider'.


The customer had two mods he wanted to be interchangeable.
The reflex one he wanted to go back as far as the barrel nut which limited the threads but luckily still gave me enough to play with.

You can get a moderator in M18, and ones with small exit holes suitable for 22 calibre bullets. Both those in the pics above are for 22 calibre bullets.

So the simple answer is; yes.

Ok, yes I suppose a .223 wildcat evo with a M18 bridge..I was thinking about a specific "rimfire" moderator..

I would imagine the wildcat would be very effective, if a little expensive..

So Matt, are you doing those to order or was that a one-off..?

Ok Matt... so if I was to send you my "flash hider", what sort of price would you charge to thread it..?

I must admit I'm still in 2 minds about going this way.... A M18 thread limits which moderator I can fit, and generally they're x3-x4 the cost of a 1/2'' UNF/UNEF rimfire moderator.

I did try fitting my .223 Wildcat Evo over the flash hider, but it seemed to be only a few mm away from the "barrel nut" when the bridge touched the muzzle...?? Seemed like you'd only get a turn or 2 onto the threads...??
