The vaccine works but nothings 100%. I’ll probably still wear a mask while food shopping unless no one wears one.

vaccine doesn't stop you catching it, just lessens the effect.

avoiding catching is always the best defense,

I'll still be wearing mine in shops, and in-between shops, etc.

I fully agree that we will probably end up back at square one in a relatively short space of time. One of the biggest culprits will be air travel. We just have no idea - or control over - what is coming into the country, despite claims of people having been tested.

The infection rate is already getting higher. There were approximately 7000 cases last week, of which almost 4000 ended up in hospital. December should be interesting.

I've already stocked up on aluminium foil, given the old tin hat a good polish, and stuck a couple of 9x21mm rounds up my hooter .... they should give more protection than 9x19's. :squirrel:

I'll leave the outcome to the will of the gods. 5mith

No mask for me (and I haven't been wearing a mask or face covering for some time).

I shall continue wearing a mask when in an enclosed public space, but not at work our outdoors,
This thing called common sense, seems in short supply these days,

25%+ of new Covid cases are supposedly people who've had both doses so..... 5mith

The vaccine doesn't stop you catching it and/or passing it onto others wallhead

I think it is the fact that folks haven't been socialising and mixing plus social distancing that has helped far more than the flimsy ill-fitting masks that the vast majority are using. It seems they have become more a form of security blanket to many than an actual effective face covering.

I'll be more than happy to ditch mine, though if I'm in a situation where I have to wear it or someone politely asks if I will wear one I will do so will carry a couple just in case. They have obviously been mandatory at work (large factory), and to be honest I can't see the company will continue to provide them if they don't need to legally, single use disposable masks for approx 800 people a day can't have been cheap for well over a year!.
