£70 and 5 weeks mainly due to a stuck-up-her-own-arse receptionist who thought she owned the practice. Our practice has merged with another one and since then all of our appointments have been with the new one. We had a great relationship with our own receptionists, but these other lot are real pieces of work and demand to know what ailments you want to see the doctor about. Our old receptionists would ask for a basic reason so that they could try and find the right doctor (male or female etc). But this new lot actually demand a reason before allocating an appointment. At one attempt to make a doctor's appointment I actually told the harpy on the other end of the phone that I was going to make a formal complaint to the doctor as she was asking for personal information that I was embarrassed to have to tell an unqualified person.
40 years with a practice that knows us intimately and now with one that doesn't know us from Adam.
My old doctor would have done it for free as he did another one for nothing. This new lot are making sure that they charge for everything. ****

Currently £125 for renewal and £150 for Grant - roughly 10 days for completion. Up from £50 and £75 from 5 years ago! As well as new govt fees - it's a nice little earner for some

Well £70/£75 seems to be an average charge, my lad submitted the forms early last week and got a message on Friday saying that it was done and ready for collection.
So i suppose thats not too bad, its just the price they are charging that's a bitter pill to swallow.
Only thing now is if the police don't grant him a SGC its all wasted money.
