All the coloured ones, besides the first are current.
The Mumbles railway got ripped out in the late 50s I think, after a fatal accident. Swansea council are idiots. North and East Swansea were highly industrialised but Port Talbot is the only heavy industry left...Steel production by Corus. Swansea in late 1800s, even before your time GordonR :) used to be copper production, world scale.
I think biggest emlpoyers there now are DVLC and 3Ms.
Glad I left, job wise. Can't afford to live on Gower now.
Coal and Steel are long gone otherwise.
Going South/West out of Swansea leads onto the Gower which is like Jersey..absolutely beautiful countryside, farms and all types of bays from coves to long bays like Rhossili..see picture.
I was from Gorseinon which had a lot of coal and steel..all gone now.
