Just a warning I had a v22 (from new) and it only liked CCI mini mag after trying loads of different makes, still used to jam every now and then even with them, Bob could not sort it, so I traded it for a 10/22...

And it always surprises me when I hear horror stories about the GSG.

I bought mine new when they first hit the market, probably what, four five years ago? Since then, nary an issue. All those stoppages I have had, and there haven't been many, the majority have been down to ammo....

I keep the bolt lubed with Tetra-grease, an a brush lubed with light gun oil, pushed in the chamber a couple of times, as per the instructions and it just keeps on ticking.

I only use Remington Viper in it. It's a "hyper-velocity" round, with a coper washed truncated cone, 38gn bullet at just over 1400fps. The bullet shape doesn't cause it problems but because it's copper washed, no lube on the bullet. This may be an advantage.

It will nevr be a target gun, but it will tear the 9 ring out of a 20m UIT CF pistol target (my club has loads of these) at 25m, fitted with a Leupold 1x Prismatic scope. I have a full Volquartson 10/22 for "serious" work.

The GSG must have had 10000 rounds through it at least. Never had a breakage either.......

Just lucky, or found the "secret" to reliable running?
