I kid. Welcome and hi. Fingers crossed I'm off to the US for the first time in a few months. I'm going to try out these "handgun" things. See what all the buzz is.
If you happen to be visiting Las Vegas and have the money to spend, there are shooting ranges that rent full auto guns for that extra bit of fun!
Hope you enjoy your visit to the states and get a chance to do some shooting while you are here.

I'm actually going for a 3-day shoot/camp thing, but staying for 10 days. Been invited by some US friends from another forum, it's the Mid-West. Been promised that as soon as I arrive they're going to strap a handgun to me and give me a FAL :lol:

Ah, I was out there a few years ago and went shooting in a town called Riverside. You can pretty much just go to a deserted piece of land and start shooting, providing the rounds won't travel, right?

More or less, you have to be sure that you are on bureau of land managment land and not private property or state land.
A shooting trip to the desert in 2009 with my youngest daughter, she is a staff sergeant in the Air National Guard. She has a Yugoslav SKS, I'm shooting a S&W 28 .357

So you can stick a tin can or a target up and just shoot as long as you are satisfied the area is safe to use?
