Welcome Gavin,

I think there will be a lot of interest in the SLRs in the coming months. It's on a few folks wish list on here!
It's not the pace of life that concerns me, it's the sudden stop at the end!

+ 1 on that what are they like to shoot straight pull?, are they hard work i.e do they suffer with primary extraction problems

No Primary Extraction issues on the first one chambered in .308 with a new barrel. I ran about 40 rounds as fast as I could and it still had no issues. I'll take one to Newark in Feb (so yes Vince - I'll be there!).
