The law protects you if your actions are reasonable, Problem is reaSONABLE IS OPEN TO DISCUSSION AS WE HAVE DEBATED TIME AND TIME AGAIN, what seems reasonable at the time will always be questioned by some lawyer hell bent on gertting his retard client acquitted. rewasonable, like beautry, is in the eye of the beholder.....
you don't take the law into your own hands
I hate that phrase, it is stupid..no offence intended..and trotted out by assholses in court and in police uniform. What "law" does that phrase relate to..anyone??

FACT: We all take the law "into our own hands" every day. The police most certainly do, just look at how they have raped and pillaged the teror laws and applied them way beyong what they were meant to do. We do it when we choose to obey or not speed linits etc.....

Larkin would eapper to teach his attitude as default,, NOT a good idea. ANYWAY..if some scrote IS nicking a bag of spanners whaty is wrong with maiming him eh??

Come on , who's fault was it he got caught.....maybe if a few opportunist thieves were maimed or killed the message that crime might not pay would start to sink in. IMO the law protects criminals with idiots things like reasonable force....when is reasonable force applied to the assailant/criminal? Do they ever use "he mugged the old guy with "reasonable force"??

just my tuppence worth.

Chuck - no offense taken.

In my non-expert view it means "don't assume you get to decide how the law should be applied, an act as judge, jury and executioner".
If someone has commited an act against you, then you let the law/lawmakers decide the consequences.

As for the police's interpretation of the 'terror laws', they were badly drafted laws brought in by a control-freak government that allowed the police too much leeway in their application. Those f&ckwit Tories/Libtards are just about to bring in more of the same with police powers to capture everyone's email/internet activity.
So if you are reading this Dave Cleggeroon - you're a W***... :55:
