space is the problem during the Imperial. Short Siberia is left open for the 'ordinary' shooters.

The photographic target faces would be unsuitable in this PC environment, but the DP 14 would do just as well.

Running such a course of fire independently of the NRA would be the best option.

Have you looked at the Highpower Rifle Association, PM JMH who posts here and he will be delighted to get you involved.

LERA run service and snap shoots out to 1000x some of their COF might suit as well as some of the published NRA service shoots.

Alternatively, what about creating the FBUK snap shooting group? (The word sniper scares the children) It only needs a dozen or so to get an event going. Your own COF designed to suit your requirements.

We are limited only by the need for safety and our own imaginations.


Don't wait for the NRA to run such an event, there is no imagination there nor anyone who thinks outside the box.

Well done to you 'though; judging by reports from friends who have shot other such events in Europe, you met some 'interesting' people too.

The Sniper World Cup is still being run it will take place at :-

Nagytétény plateau range outside Budapest, Hungary, between the 1st and 5th of JUNE 2013.

You have to be a serving member of the Police or armed forces to enter and you have to assemble in Austrie and be ascorted into Hungary because of the differing firearms laws.

Interesting competition. But could a group of friends (all ex-servicemen) and I arrange an invite somehow. That would be worth the effort.

Official serving Mil or Pol as far as the registration suggests, although having read write ups on the match in the past their have been quite a few civilians shooting who are unconnected with either.

There are 2 competitions there:
1st is "The 2013 Police Sniper Championship with international attendance will be held at the Czech Army Training Center P.S. Daskabaty VVP Libava" holds at the end of May (20-24 of May)
2nd is "POLICE AND MILITARY SNIPER COMPETITION" holds at the beginning of June (01-05 of June)

There is a lot of videos at the youtube about the 2nd one, but I found only 1 post (here) about the 1st, that's why I'm asking :)
I want to visit a 1st one.
