Re: The Imperial
Well done everyone, just competing at the Imperial is daunting enough for many so both shoot is and so well is no mean feat!

Thanks Bob,rox wrote: Very well done to GazMorris on winning both Queen's I and Queen's II outright!, and thereby changing your name to GazMorris(SM).
At short range the new rifle was awesome (Barnard action and Bartlein 30" 1/13" 298x3065 barrel in a TVA laminate stock with RPA Trakker rearsight and Centra 30mm foresight put together by Ron Hilyard of Thames Valley Arms) I just couldn't miss the bullseye, but my long range needs some more work. Still, what might have been if I had made less of a mess of 900 yards! A very well done to John Warburton, some fine shooting to come back from a point down.
Cheers,
Gaz

Some of us can only dream of shooting that well - care to share what went wrong at 900?GazMorris wrote:Thanks Bob,rox wrote: Very well done to GazMorris on winning both Queen's I and Queen's II outright!, and thereby changing your name to GazMorris(SM).

Anyway, there's always the next year...and shooting like that, there's no reason why you couldn't end up in the chair
Re: The Imperial
It's very encouraging to see again this year, that you don't need a £4000 rifle with all the mod cons to win...
That looks like an old swing stock, and with a 2 point sling! - anyone know the action and barrel?

Re: The Imperial
Finally starting to be able to draw breath after 3 weeks of graft! Was able to shoot (FTR) as well as work, although it made for loooooong days, and came out of it with a gold & a silver medal :shakeshout:

A common mistake that people make when trying to design something completely foolproof is to underestimate the ingenuity of complete fools!!
