The way its currently worded an electronic/solenoid affair would not be prohibited, but I would wager once one came out using that the legislation would be instantly rewritten.

Agreed, we have a couple of UK manufacturers/distributors who seem to spend their time looking for ways to comply the firearms laws, only for the law to be amended.
