What?!!!!! You lucky sod. It's painfully slow here, friend of mine has waited 10 weeks for a 1for1. (Even got a home visit for it too, and no I'm not taking the p*** or lying)

Sorry,
More application questions. Just going through the latest form I downloaded from the South Yorkshire police site. And it's different to the one I downloaded a few months ago when I joined the club
The last one asked for amount of ammunition to buy and then to keep. This one says just to keep but has two Columns just like the last as if it's a typo
Also,I'm confused about adding moderators I'll be applying for a .308 and a .22 semi auto.
Do I write moderator in a separate slot? Just put .22 moderator.

Law changed a while back, you just need one amount to keep per calibre, no amount to buy. So you should be ok if you put in 10-20% more than a reasonable purchase amount.
You'll need to define reasonable for yourself :-) I went 1200 .22 and 300 .308.
Moderators require a separate slot (
), no need to put mechanism, so you should put:
.308
.308 moderator
.22
.22 moderator

Mine went in two weeks ago last Friday and I've not heard anything yet.
In hope for a call soon though, as another new club member put his in a few months before xmas (same area) and had a phone call within 2 weeks to arrange his home visit, and had his cert in his hand, just over a week after the visit!!
I think all the planets must have just been in the right alignment for him it seems

Well the check was cashed straight away :)
Heard yesterday that my referees have been contacted and both have emailed in the answers to the questions so it's moving faster than I had thought. Website says 10 weeks plus iirc
Better pull my finger out I fitted the safes weeks ago but I'm not happy with them. Going to look at reinforcing how they are fixed.
