Yes I know what you mean, black does look a little unique, also favour the longer barrel and flash, the stunted versions only in black imo... just wish I had a 7.62 slot

I wish I had a 7.62x39 or 7.62x54R slot as well! I have 2 x .308/7.62x51 slots and I'll only use one of those. Time for a variation...

I will admit now im thinking of going down the mini 14 route, I know its not every ones cup of tea, so to speak, but some how im sold on that particular rifle.

I like the action, its style and the ability to strip it blindfolded, I know alot of people talk about accuracy, but for the price im not looking to use it over100/200...and if I can tac it up, at low cost I would be happy.

And im pretty sure for price paid there wouldnt be much if any loss, I just love m14, s and this would be my baby fun rifle...

I want to own rifles I find exciting and engineering, style and history certainly factor in to that decision. Remember `fashion never function...`

If you are looking at Ruger Mini 14 talk to SimG,

he's apparently the only person on the planet that has one that shoots straight :good: :good:

A common mistake that people make when trying to design something completely foolproof is to underestimate the ingenuity of complete fools!!
