Berettas are £950 ish and due anytime if you know where to go. For something different, how about an Akdal??? Like a Saiga but AR rather than AK.

Akdal has 5 shot mag only, still - you can always practice mag changes...

Thanks for all the information so far. Looks as though I will have a good day out!

I've seen a few bigger ones, like this:

Still, not too tempted by the Akdal as it's only an AR looky likey. The Saiga's come out of the Izhmash factory and are practically an AK.

The Saiga's aren't too reliable in standard form for competitive shooting (I was told this by someone who used to compete with one) and need to be 'fettled' to perform reliably.

I'm considering swapping my supernova for an Akdal...

You can see a bit more here and it will cost £1,100

think i may go to have a look at one of these instead of a benelli, even more so when you account for the fact the 24" m2 has no confirmed delivery date and has been on back order for months

mikaveli, you think that you'll get that sent from the USA then given their paranoia right now.?

Handled one here in Turkland, not overly impressed but looks like a fun gun. As long as they allowed for the expanded length of the shell on ejection it should work, unlike another AR platform here where they just made a gun, double stamped it to confuse people and then looked around for a shell that worked. 'Nuff said.

Anyway, getting a 12g magazine fed to feed reliably is not exactly perfected as yet is it? Is Saiga as reliable as one would wish?

Must see if there are any higher cap magazines around for it, and how much.

That's definitely an issue.

I quite like that Beretta 1301 - the mag tube is the right length, plus the 'comp mods' are factory / OEM so it satisfies my inner gun tart.

For 950 that undercuts the M2 by a few hundred spondolies too, which is never a bad thing. :good:

and you can load it and keep the top half of your thumb without having to send your loading gate to a man with a welder. need to try one of these, my main concern will be a chunky for end like most gas fed shotguns. the m2 is slim and sleek

Mikaveli wrote: How does that equate to me not using them properly? I don't see any professional clay shooters using ghost ring sights, and very few using them for PSG at the clubs I've been to.

Ghost ring sights, when used properly, don't obscure the sight picture. They are called "ghost ring" because the rear sight will to all intents and purposes, "disappears" and all that will be apparent is a very faint outline of it, hence "ghost". But, the brain is still able to line up the sights correctly.

A rather glib comment concerning pro clay shooters and your "clubs", so it mustn't work, then? Or conversley, don't see many service, duty, tactical of defensive shotguns that don't have ghost ring sights on these days....
