LOL I know what you mean mate, I wouldnt like to say if he "Tarts" them up or not, but everything I saw on Sat was virtually in pristine condition, I was sooooo tempted to get a No4 when I was there aswell, still may pop down after the shooting show to get one

out of the 4 or 5 Mauser's he had left, all bar 1 was in the same condition as the one I bought
