I'm guessing pics of my Fireblades, R1 and a GSXR that I threw in a field 2 weeks before my first wedding don't count?

Well given that my Yosh RRT 'Blade went to the big Honda shop in the sky in maybe 1998 I guess they are old bikes these days.

OK, so not an "old" bike but a very enjoyable couple of years before we had to chuck it all in :(

Traded my bike in for this.

We were going to do the Manx GP but the foot and mouth outbreak had other ideas. Then just as we got a chance to have one of Paul Young's old bikes our rider had to stop racing. We got a "boy wonder" to replace him who was in fact useless and had so many hangers on you would think he was the world champion. His lot tried to take over, one didn't want me working on the bike as I was a woman  Chucked it all in then.

Ah, I know Brough's reasonably well, Albert Wallis used to work for my Dad years ago (As a signalman I think) Albert used to rebuild scrambler wheels for me if I took my Mum along to talk to him. Anyway the AW connection? Albert had one of the largest private collections of Brough's in the UK and lived in the next village, and.......... he also owned the prototype three wheel Brough :D

Nice!

Politics in race teams is a nightmare. My brother raced in the UK Endurance series for a while on a 750 Kawasaki, I went as mechanic with him a couple of times including once on the Island, it was the Jurby circuit but still meant a lot to me to be mechanic on the island for a day.

Although still riding a road bikes to this day my passion was always MX and Enduro stuff followed by SM, these days my son rides a 450 Husaberg SM which is enough to keep me happy.

Targetman,

Do you remember how bikers used to hammer across Gowerton Common?

Used to sit on the seat overlooking the common beside our house and try and guage when he would shut off and not end up in an ambulance.
