Only problem with that is they only work if you full length resize I normally neck size that's why I use Le Wilson gear.

Hey I've necksized as well, necksized thousands of cases in my time. Even with neck sizing though the cases haven't lasted longer than the ones run through the X-Die. Put it this way mate, if these dies were just hyped up crap then I'd say so and warn people away from them. They aren't though, properly set up they eliminate the need for constant trimming along with the chamf and deburring and they are much more accurate size wise than neck sizing.

Hey whatever floats your boat brother, nothing wrong with Le Wilson gear whatsoever. But you won't know until you try and when you do you'll think to yourself why the hell didn't I do this earlier. I'll bet I spend half the time on case prep than you do and believe me when I tell you I am very fussy about case size and the rest of the stuff that goes with it.

Interesting tool - not sure if this one indexes off the case shoulder or off the head. You said you've used all sorts of tools over the years. Did you ever arrive at a conclusion about shoulder or head indexing ? ie which is best or pros/cons ?

The x-die looks like an intersting concept, I wonder why other die manufacturers dont have a similar arrangement?
I decided a while back to standardise on redding dies as I really like them, but I must admit the idea of not having to trim at all has some attraction

I didn't want to full length size everytime either, looks like the xdie is a FLS die ? I was planning on only FLS on brass not fired from my chamber and only bumping the neck when needed and neck bushing to minimise working the brass.

Thanks for the info though - certainly food for thought. It seems there are many ways to resize cases and they all have their tradeoffs
