Only just given these a propper look after seeing them on Suffolk rifle company. I was looking at the M14', oh my what a dream they are but way too much.

Not being able to measure them I was not sure if the stock was UK kegal, but clearly, they are party2

I am tempted by these they are pure fun, but would only get one if I could replace the shroud with a real moderator.
Any ideas if they come off? And is there any threading on the muzzle?

On a side note, having watched a you tube video, I see pistol grip /Trigger Mechanism Housing, comes off in one unit. This would be a good starting point for the .22lr Sterling that has been dreamt of recently.

A .22 Sterling- now there's an idea. Thinking about it, I'm surprised there's not more SMG/ Military style .22 rifles. As popular as they are here, the US shooters seem keen on them due to the cost of .22 being so low compared to center fire rounds.
