Saddler, I know it's not a requirement but I know he asked the same thing of Sim a while back (and a number of others in Kent)
I just read the notes on the back of my FAC, and nowhere does it say you can't write on your own FAC.
(I have no idea what the answer is, hence why I was asking for the bit in the guidance where it says you CAN'T write on your own FAC)
Our firearms laws/acts/guidance are all stupid!

Sorry, Sim I cannot find any mention in the new (2014) HO Guidance. I have 2 FACs in my name and 3 other FACs in the household and none of them say the holder cannot write on them.
If you have a reference to a paragraph in the HO guidance I would very much like it as this is often relevant to members of my clubs and wider shooting group, thanks.
