My local RFD does golden bullet for £5.85/100, 5.15/100/500 and 4.92 per 100 if you buy a thousand. They list their prices online and stick to them which is good.
The last time I bought any I just picked up 100 of several different types and tested what worked best.

LOL, so i'm paying too much anyway. out of interest, do they sell american eagle? if so what price? just as a price guide.
i seem to live somewhere that only has one or two rifle type gunshops nearby :(

The Remington Golden Bullet aren't bad for the price, but they are a very 'dirty' round. Still, a couple of sweeps with a boresnake soon sorts the mess they leave behind.

They usually stock loads of different .22, my 597 seems happy with most stuff, cci blazer is ok for the price, £5.45 per 100

, unless i can get work to pay for the bulk of the miles or i'm coming up for something elsse, it would have to be a big saving as it's a £45 round trip
might have to prod and get a shift or two in Mansfield
tbh, I just wish it was easier to find rfd's and find what they stock in your local area
