The special sport slugs (which are the most common) are 70mm
Thanks. My crap Hatsan has a similar problem and will only cycle 70mm cartridges.

I believe that the upper shot was the first one in each double - ie, the brake is forcing the barrel down placing the second shot lower !!!
Could also be the action of the bolt moving forward and stopping and your reaction to the recoil.

Looks nice, not sure if I would want one, the amount of PSG/Multi-gun I do most likely will determine that for me (especially if the boss found out I bought another gun O:-) ).
I don't think so.

It feels a lot better with the brake - its the brake doing the work.

The recoil has occurred BEFORE the bolt starts its forward travel.
It will be the brake, AK muzzle brakes work the same way.If you look at the simple AKM slant brake it sits at an angle to push the muzzle down and slightly to the left, same with the later AK-74 and AK-103 muzzle brakes which are ported to defect some of the muzzle blast and achieve the same result. If you take the muzzle brake off and fire rapid semi or full auto the muzzle rises faster than a porn stars k#@b, but with the brake fitted it is more manageable (though they take some hanging on to, especially if you've got a 40 or 45 round RPK mag in!!!)

Sounds like the brake.

I put a brake on my 223 and it only made a big difference (or especially noticeable) when standing at 100yds, I was back on target a lot quicker than without it.
From other positions the effect was not so noticeable.

The recoil is a lot less with a 223 than a 12ga (or even many other rifle cartridges) and I wasn't expecting much, so it was a nice surprise.
